Plight of the Polar Bears.

20th December 2009
Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.

From the 7-18th of December 2009 Videojuicer with support from Inlet Technologies and Garland Partners are helping to promote the 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) which is being held in Copenhagen- Denmark.

"Climate change is considered one of the world's most greatest challenges. There is a need for everyone to limit their CO2 emissions"
(icebearproject.org/info)

The event is to raise awareness and to promote conservation of wildlife that is diminishing due to climate change. On May 14th 2009 the polar bear was the first mammal to be listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act as a direct results of global warming.

To promote the event sculptor Mark Coreth has created beautiful ice polar bears that will be shown in various locations including Trafalgar Square and at the Copenhagen WWF Tent. Over the course of the event, the ice will slowly melt to reveal a bronze skeleton. Organisers believe that this creative piece will form a connection between the people touching the polar bear and the critical conditions in the Arctic.

Garland Partners have provided an Inlet Spinnaker 5000, the Spinnaker family of encoding solutions enables broadcast-quality streams over the internet to multiple devices.

"We are delighted to be supporting the United Nations Climate Conference with out Spinnaker encoders" said Don Bossi, Chairman & CEO for Inlet Technologies " and are very pleased with the successful outcome of this collaborations with Videojuicer, though out UK partner Garland Partners Limited (GPL)"
