The Vx8000 is an IP video gateway that transports real-time broadcast-quality digital video over public and private IP networks.

Compliant with industry standards, the Vx8000 offers users the choice of both Pro-MPEG COP-3 Forward Error Correction (FEC) for protection against packet loss and Path 1’s ClearPathPro FEC enhancements. This set of extensions to the COP-3 standard offers maximum video protection. By providing additional protection against the high levels of burst packet loss present in the Public Internet, ClearPath Pro ensures perfect video over all types of IP networks. The Vx8000 also offers high port density—up to 8 ASI ports in 1 RU—which provides excellent scalability for network growth. Individual ASI ports (up to 8) may be licensed, and a given port can be set to either transmit or receive so that a single unit can simultaneously send and receive ASI video streams.

The Cx1020 is an IP video gateway that transports uncompressed 270 Mbps SDI/SDTI video over IP.

The Path 1 Cx1020 Video over IP Gateway is designed to meet the stringent requirements of broadcasters and content owners for transporting real-time broadcast-quality MPEG-2, MPEG-4, or VC-1 (MPEG-2 TS) video over IP networks. The Cx1020 is capable of handling both ASI video at up to 213 Mbps and 270 Mbps SDI/SDTI video. A flexible Gigabit Ethernet or Fast Ethernet network interface provides high-speed video transmission. Path 1's ClearPath Forward Error Correction ensures that programs are protected from impairments introduced by IP networks.
