James Blunt’s new album launch show was broadcast exclusively via his own YouTube channel from the Bloomsbury Ballroom, London, earlier this month.
This high quality web streaming experience was made possible by the teaming up of Jackshoot.tv, who provided the production facilities together with Garland Partners (GPL), who supplied the Inlet Technologies Spinnaker SD 5000 encoding platform. “GPL always provide us with the ideal streaming solutions, the Spinnaker platform allows us to stream fantastic quality H264 flash IP streams straight from our truck over our IP Satellite link. The Spinnaker family from US company Inlet Technologies are a range of professional live streaming encoders supported here in the UK by GPL . They enable SD/HD multi format, simultaneous streaming of audio and video streams to the web and to mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone, Android and Smartphone.
The event was a huge success for Jackshoot's client New Stream Media and was not only the first UK produced live internet broadcast on YouTube, but was possibly their largest live streamed event.
