Home Networking
The AmiNET110 is SmartfootTM Compatible and works with awide range of Home Networking options. The Smartfootsimplifies home networking installation by taking advantage ofthe unique form factor of the Amino STB. The SmartFoot issimple and easy to install and reduces the number of additionalcables going between devices as it can "snap-into" the STB.
The Smartfoot allows consumers to receive individual IPTV services on multiple TVs in the house. An end user can view amovie in the living room while another watches a differentchannel in their bedroom, all via existing home cabling.
Games Support
Games provide an excellent opportunity for service providers tointroduce a new revenue generating service. The G-Clustergames client is ported to the AmiNET110 and provides the userwith state of the art, centrally served PC games. A USBinterface is provided which can support games controllers andperipheral expansion.
Supported Middlewares
Amino set-top box products are supported by leading IPTVMiddleware providers for integration as part of a broadband TVsolution. The AmiNET110 also supports development ofapplications in HTML and Javascript.
Content Security
AmiNET110 is compatible with a wide range of leadingsmartcard-based and smartcard-less content protection & rightsmanagement solutions, allowing customers to choose theappropriate security to meet their needs.

Application Development
Amino software technology is based on open standards suchas Linux and Java. Application developers for the AmiNET110benefit from JavaScript or Java APIs, which provide full controlof the STB functions.
Microwindows is provided to support graphics basedapplications, such as the Browser. This includes the AminoJMACX system, which provides the service operator with apowerful set of HTML and JavaScript extensions. The JMACX extensions allow simple, and highly effective user interfacedesigns to be created or ported.
Software Update and Maintenance
The AmiNET110 may hold its software in Flash Memory, whichcan be minimal for network booting, or increased to hold thefull software image. Software updates can be completedsecurely in the field using Amino Multicast server software.
Installation
The AmiNET110 connects to the television using a variety ofdifferent cables from the STB MiniDIN connector to Composite, Component, S-Video or SCART. Installer configuration is on-
screen via internal HTML pages.

Multicast Loader
The Amino multicast server software ensures that any DHCP-configured Amino set-top (such as the AmiNET110) connectingto the network, may be rapidly and securely loaded with thelatest signed software image authorised by the serviceprovider. The multicast loader is installed on a Linux PC at thehead-end, and transmits the software image in a continuouscarousel, ensuring rapid start-up regardless of the number ofset-tops in the system. It is therefore completely scalable.
