VBrick

Windows Media Enterprise Encoder

VBrick’s Windows Media Encoder appliances are excellent for broadcasting video communications over LANs, WANs, and the Internet. Based on the award winning VB6000 platform, these Windows Media devices combine highly flexible encoding with all the tools you need to distribute IP video over any network.

A single VBrick Windows Media Encoder contains the complete functionality of a traditional multi-device Windows Media ecosystem including encoding, serving,
reflecting, and recording. This makes the resulting solution far more cost effective and manageable. VBrick's Windows Media Encoding Appliance is a dedicated, purpose-built system, so your IT staff will have fewer headaches than with a PC-based system.

Serving – Serve up to 200 live unicast streams or 20 on-demand streams
(with optional hard drive).

Multicasting – Multicast live video directly from the appliance without the need for
an additional server and expensive operating system.

Pushing – Push up to 25 simultaneous streams to a VBrick Windows Media
Reflecting appliances and Microsoft Windows Media Servers, letting you publish
your content over non-multicast enabled networks and the internet.

Reflecting – Receive a live stream over the network and deliver it locally via unicast or multicast, giving you the flexibility to distribute IP video in complex network environments.

Recording – Record encoded video directly on the appliance or from video streams on the network (requires optional hard drive).
