Product Briefs: The network is the video switch |
VBrick VoD Servers
Using VBrick’s Enterprise Media System (VEMS) and Video On-Demand Servers, your recorded content becomes available for on-demand playback over the network anytime, anywhere. It's that simple. VBrick's VOD Server guarantees that everyone in your enterprise has access to your content whenever they need it.
VBrick’s VOD Servers provide you with controlled access to all your stored video. Whether it’s live video that you’ve recorded from your network, or branded content purchased from one of our many content partners, VBrick offers a VOD solution that scales with your needs. VBrick's VOD servers come in multiple configurations to best meet your unique requirements and are fully integrated into our VEMS IP Video management platforms.
All communications between VBrick’s VOD Server and Media Management Portal can be encrypted. Also, URLs can be secured so intruders cannot directly access the server outside the Portal – helping guarantee that no unauthorized viewers are seeing your content.
VOD-W Server
The VOD-W Server is a powerful on-demand server that supports H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 formats and is offered with three different capacities* - 50, 125
and 300. With up to 1.2TB of unformatted storage you will be able to store hundreds
of hours of content. Servers can be expanded with several terabytes of SAN storage.
VOD-WM Server
The VOD-WM is our Windows Media VOD server and provides all the functionality of
a traditional Windows Media Server but with the added features of our VEMS platforms.
The VOD-WM comes in 125 and 300 capacity* models and can be purchased with
multicast support. This allows stored content to be scheduled as a multicast broadcast
for bandwidth conservation.
* The number of concurrent user and/or the number of simultaneous users determines
capacity. (i.e. VOD-W 50 supports 50mbps of throughput or 50 concurrent users.)
