MPEG-2/MPEG-4 Transcoder
Key Features
The transcoder MC-TRANS-1RU is designed for IPTV-Live Streaming applications. The transcoder is a network based transcoder and converts Multicast or Unicast streams from MPEG-2 to H.264 or from H.264 to MPEG-2. Thereby the user can set parameters like resolution, bitrate, bitrate type (CBR/VBR) or GOP structure (Group Of Pictures). Also the up- or down-scaling from HD to SD formats is supported.
Specification:
- Transcoding of existing IPTV streams into streams with modified stream parameters
- On-the-fly conversion of the used video codec, the bitrate, the resolution and the GOP structure, etc.
- On-the-fly modification of framerate is possible at H.264 : Transrating
- Transmission and receipt of unicast/multicast streams is possible
- Supports MPEG-2 SD/HD, H.264, MPEG-1 Layer 2 Audio or AAC-LC at input
and output - All output streams are ISO/IEC compliant transport streams
- The configuration settings can be stored
- Text-, Time- and Logo insertion is possible
- Flash format in combination with Wowza server
