Key Features
Teracue's Stream Router is an advanced routing appliance for converting, routing and bridging different streaming types into multicast– and unicast– networks. Designed for streaming to external locations, for WAN transmissions or for the adaptation and alignment of live streams within an IPTV system.
Multiple live input streams can be modified to unicast, multicast or multiple
unicast/multicast streams. The task: making multicast streams available on
unicast networks and also backwards. The additionally provided MC-XROUTE
module is a SAP and Stream Forwarder, which forwards multicast streams
(converted into unicast streams) and SAP (Session Announcement Protocol)
messages to a XPlayer, which is located in a unicast network. The MC-XROUTE
is designed for video forwarding in incapable multicast networks.
