Downlink Server Software
LU-1000
LU-1000 is the partner product of the LU range. LiveU's LU-1000
server software runs on a server of your choice (specification available
on request) and provides the means to downlink your live 3G mobile
transmission in any location.
The LU-1000 server can be situated anywhere that has internet access
that can support your selected transmission bandwidth, The server only
requires its own dedicated public IP address or access to an external IP
via port forwarding in your router.
Once the server is installed, the LU range simply targets the IP
address of the server and then sends the encoded H.264 transport stream
over multiple mobile operators' data channels, and in turn across the public
internet to your LU-1000 server. The server combines all the packets received
back into a single H.264 transport stream and decodes it where the content can
be viewed on the LU-1000 server. If the server is installed with an SDI card
(specification available) you can then pipe this broadcast quality video in to
your SDI production chain and retransmit live for TV, provide as contribution
in to another broadcast or store to later editing and use.
Alternatively, for web-casting a flash wrapper can be added to the stream for
web distribution via a CDN (content distribution network). The LU-30 combined
with the LU-1000 provides a truly mobile transmission to a location of your choice
over the existing 3G mobile infrastructure.
