J13 Broadcast Expand Channel Coverage

When Milton Keynes, UK based television studios J13 Broadcast needed to expand their facility to add a further 3 channels to their current 6-strong line up, they again selected Garland Partners Limited(GPL)to supply Optibase MGW230 MPEG-2 IP streaming encoders.
J13 have worked with GPL since 2005, and have developed a proven and reliable infrastructure to deliver their live TV channels to the uplink centre of their satellite broadcasting partner. They use 6Mbps MPEG-2 encoded streams carried over IP from Milton Keynes to North London, where they are handed over in SDI format.
The MGW230 streaming encoders provide a flexible solution to suit the channel requirements, with the ability to match digital or analogue video and audio inputs with Optibase’s renowned high quality encoding. The studios operate 24/7, and Optibase quality as well as cost competitiveness were further reasons for J13 to continue to deploy them for the 3 new channels.
