Summary

ENC-100 Encoders for professional MPEG-2 SD encoding are being delivered by Teracue since 2004. The ENC-100 series provides flexible inputs for IPTV and video streaming applications. TV channels, camera signals, DVD feeds or simply any audio/video-signal can be provided on standard LAN/WAN networks in DVD-quality.

AV-signals that are input on the ENC-100 encoder blades are converted and compressed in realtime into digital MPEG-2 SD (standard definition) streams. These streams are transmitted by the ENC encoders onto the network as live streams and can be viewed or recorded by an unlimited number of clients or viewers. ENC-100 encoders are based on a very compact und robust hardware design. The encoder blades are built for 24/7 operation and contain no moving parts (fans, drives).

Blades

The ENC-100 product series consists of three different models:

ENC-100-COMP with composite video input
ENC-100-YC with s-video input
ENC-100-SDI with serial digital SDI video input

ENC-100 encoder blades are operated flexibly in different enclosures of the FR Chassis series. The Teracuce Video-Networking blades of the ENC, DEC, and DVB series are the most compact and robust network-codecs that are available on the market today. The ENC blades are configured and controlled via standard web browser or over SNMP. Several encoder blades can be remotely managed and grouped by using Teracue's ElementManager.
