LiveU Applications 3G Uplink Contribution
The reality of having a broadcast-quality real-time video uplink solution using existing 3G/WiFi mobile networks is now here. Get immediate connectivity using the mobile network and negate the need for expensive satellite outside broadcast trucks.
This rapid response unit lets you be first on the scene and transmitting pictures live within seconds. Fast and easy to set up, the camera operator carries the lightweight LU-30 uplink modem unit in a small backpack connected to his or her camera (weight 5kg).
The video picture (encoded H264) is transmitted over three networks (2 sims each) and the picture rebuilt at the downlink server side with options for either SDI output for contribution, or add a flash wrapper for streaming.
Deployed in nearly 200 locations worldwide and used by major broadcasters, this new technology is opening up all sorts of possibilities.
